Debating for a Cause

On Wednesday, December 12th the UWSP College Republicans will go head-to-head with the UWSP College Democrats in a policy debate. The event is being sponsored by the UWSP Political Science department and the student government association. The goal of the debate is more than highlighting the differences between the two parties, but also to register students to vote, raise money for the USO and to encourage primary voting in February.

UWSP CR Chairman Matt Steiger and WICR Chairman Ryan Wrasse will be in the hot seat for an hour-long debate on issues ranging from the War on Terror to global climate change (or lack thereof), followed by a 30 minute Q&A from the audience. They are expecting 150 attendees.
